As part of our Erasmus+ project numbered 2024-1-PT01-KA220-ADU-000253511 and titled “Active Brain Games for Seniors,” we proudly participated in the 1st International Congress on Family and Community Studies: Holistic Approaches to Aging, held between October 16–18, 2025 at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Türkiye.
During the congress, our project was introduced to a wide academic audience, and its main objectives, innovative approaches, and digital and physical game outputs were presented. The sessions attracted great attention from both national and international participants.
As part of the congress, a panel session dedicated to our project was organized. The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Murat Seyfi from Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. Project partners attended the session as speakers and shared valuable insights from their institutions:
Cristina Mourão Steiger (Universidade Sénior de Oeiras, Portugal)
Michelle Knudsen (DGI Vestjylland, Denmark)
Ivan Močnik (Drustvo Disora, Slovenia)
Each partner introduced the concept of senior universities in their countries and shared examples of educational and social activities designed to promote active and healthy aging. The participation of our project in this international congress significantly contributed to the dissemination of project results, international visibility, and cross-cultural dialogue. The event also opened new avenues for collaboration in the field of lifelong learning and senior education.
